Of prime importance to the Pastoral Services department is the spiritual life and well-being of residents. Chaplains are involved in the spiritual and emotional care of each resident.

Devotions and/or Scripture Reading --Devotions and/or Scripture Reading are broadcast each morning on closed-circuit TV. 

Chapels – East Bethany Chapel is located near the Personal Care and Healthcare areas, and the West Bethany Chapel is located in the Residential Living area. Sunday morning services are held weekly at 9:45 a.m. in East Bethany,  at 10:00 a.m. each week.  An additional brief service is held in the Warwick Room in the Heritage Memory Loss support area from 10:40 - 10:55.  Other chapel activities are announced in monthly activities calendars, Landis Homes News, and WLH-TV.  

Landis Homes Bethany Fellowship--Bethany Fellowship was created for residents who live at a distance from their home congregation, or for any reason do not have a relationship with a congregation. Persons desiring to become a member should discuss their wishes with the Director of Pastoral Services at Ext. 3568

Hospital Visitation – Chaplains are committed to visiting each resident at the hospital who is experiencing a hospital stay.

Compassionate Connections Support Group – This monthly support group is for persons in Residential Living whose spouses are receiving some higher level of care at Landis Homes. For information, contact the Director of Pastoral Services at Ext. 3568, or Social Worker in Residential Living. 

Funerals and Viewings – Use of East or West Bethany chapels is available to residents for funerals and/or viewings. Funeral planning can be done in advance or on an as-needed basis through Pastoral Services. 

Grief Support Group – A grief support group which meets once or twice a month is available to residents who desire it.  For more information, contact the Director of Pastoral Services at Ext. 3568 or Social Worker in Residential Living at Ext. 3593.

Prayer & Memory Garden – The prayer and memory garden is located outside of the West Bethany Chapel lobby.  For commemorative opportunities such as laying an inscribed walkway brick, contact the Gift Planning department Ext. 3104. Learn more...,
